Our Support
Our tutors are able to offer production teams support with:

-
Pre-production advice on tutoring requirements – hours, staffing ratios, scheduling etc.
-
Liaising with schools/parents and local authorities to minimise the loss of learning for the child and ensure continuity
-
Keeping running records of tutoring hours – to meet the minimum requirement of 15 hours a week - or 60 hours aggregated over 4 weeks
-
They will also keep detailed individual tutoring records for subjects covered each day/week
-
Where no work, or online access to a program of work, has been provided by schools/parents - as experienced classroom teachers, our tutors are also able to plan schemes of work and prepare lessons to meet the child/children’s educational targets.
Other Expertise
We also have experienced tutors who can offer expertise in:
-
Specific subjects – i.e. modern languages, science & technology etc.
-
Children with additional needs
-
Some of our tutors have experience working with SAG-AFTRA rules
-
In exceptional circumstances, some tutors can tutor remotely - using Zoom, Teams etc. – but this is not ideal and not considered best practice

Seamless Schedule Support
Tutors 4 Kidz appreciate the difficulties involved in trying to juggle a shooting/performing schedule and tutoring hours within a child’s permitted ‘working day’ and our tutors will help a production team manage this as smoothly as possible - whilst ensuring that the educational needs of the child and local authority licensing requirements are met.
